Identity Defense Adds to Advisory Board

Dr. Jeffrey M. Stanton, Associate Professor, Syracuse University, named to Identity Defense Advisory Board.

Syracuse, NY (PRWEB) July 29, 2007 -- Dr. Jeffrey M. Stanton, Associate Professor School of Information Studies, Syracuse University and Director, Syracuse Information Systems Evaluation (SISE) Project has recently been named as the newest member of the Identity Defense Advisory Board.

Dr. Stanton brings to the Advisory Board a record of research focusing on the many intersections between behavioral science and information technology. Dr Stanton is the co-author of the book, The Visible Employee: Using Workplace Monitoring and Surveillance to Protect Information

His publications appear in a number of journals, such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Human Performance, Human Resource Management, Journal of Information Systems Education, Organizational Research Methods, Computers in Human Behavior, Behavior and Information Technology, and Computers and Security. He has also presented research papers at various scholarly conferences, such as the Society of Industrial-Organizational Psychology, the Academy of Management, the American Psychological Society, AMCIS, the Security Conference, IEEE, and the International Congress of Applied Psychology.

He has taught social science research methods, organizational behavior, industrial-organizational psychology, and psychometrics. Additionally he has conducted workshops and given talks on behavioral information security, and Internet-based data collection.
