BreakThruIT chooses PrismTech's Open Fusion as CORBA Services platform for AtmiBroker, an implementation of Open Group's ATMI specification.
San Antonio, Texas (PRWEB) July 31, 2007 -- BreakThruIT, Inc., a global provider of next-generation software platforms and applications, announced today that it is bundling PrismTech's Open Fusion with its soon-to-be-released AtmiBroker product suite.
The AtmiBroker platform, which will be released in Q4 of 2007, is an implementation of the ATMI specification developed by the Open Group. AtmiBroker has both a C++ and Java API, both of which are built using CORBA standards and services. More specifically the CORBA Services utilized are Naming, Messaging and Transaction.
BreakThruIT is committed to supporting open standards, and partnering with companies with the same mindset and supporting products. Therefore BreakThruIT selected PrismTech's Open Fusion CORBA ORBs and Services platform, which is being used in mission critical applications by many large organizations today, ranging from commercial to government.
"The integration of PrismTech's Open Fusion with the AtmiBroker product suite will provide an extremely proven, mature, and supported platform that will allow organizations to transition from very expensive, proprietary implementations of the ATMI specification" said Barrie Slattery, CEO of BreakThruIT. "Moving from existing ATMI solutions, is weighing heavy on the minds of many organizations around the world. We felt it imperative to leverage complimentary products that use open standards, open source software, and are proven and affordable. PrismTech's Open Fusion clearly fits that bill."
"OpenFusion and AtmiBroker will jointly provide a high-performance, standards-based, cost-effective, and fully supported ATMI platform built using mature open source software" said Douglas C. Schmidt, CTO of PrismTech. "OpenFusion products offer the most cost-effective, robust, and best supported CORBA implementations on the market. In short, AtmiBroker leverages the smallest, fastest, most functional, and lowest cost-of-ownership CORBA implementation available. PrismTech looks forward to working with BreakThruIT and extending the reach of its OpenFusion CORBA products to organizations using the ATMI standard."
Availability of AtmiBroker will be in Q4 of 2007.
