With the first night of the Jewish New Year quickly approaching, the Challah Connection, a leading online retailer of Jewish gifts and kosher gift baskets, is announcing several new gifts for Rosh Hashana 2007.

Westport, CT (PRWEB) August 19, 2007 -- With the first night of the Jewish New Year quickly approaching, the Challah Connection, a leading online retailer of Jewish gifts and kosher gift baskets, is announcing several new Rosh Hashana gift baskets for 2007. Rosh Hashana, which translates to "Head of the Year," is a celebration in which Jewish tradition bestows a belief that all are created anew. It is a time for prayer, personal introspection, and traditions. No company better understands these traditions and customs than the Challah Connection.

The new gifts are meant to bring to life the traditions of the New Year, such as the "Apples, Honey & Challah Crate", which represents the custom of eating sweet apples and honey to bring about a Sweet New Year. Other Jewish gifts, such as plush toys and puzzles are meant for children to learn about the holiday in an interactive and fun way.

Jane Moritz, owner of Challah Connection, loves nothing more than bringing to life the history and traditions of Jewish holidays like Rosh Hashana.

"We've spent a lot of time brainstorming new gift ideas that combine Jewish holiday traditions with great kosher food items that people will enjoy receiving. Our "Apples, Honey & Challah Crate" is a depiction of a favorite Rosh Hashana tradition," Moritz explains. "I also know how important it is to start the understanding of Jewish culture at a young age. For this reason, we've also added several gifts designed specially for children to help them learn about the holiday in a fun way."

Customers across the country have been finding Challah Connections' vast knowledge of Jewish traditions, coupled with creative kosher gift baskets and kosher meals, extremely rewarding.

"I love that the Challah Connection has everything that I need to celebrate Rosh Hashana; knowledge of the holiday and its customs, thoughtful and delicious kosher gift baskets to send to family, and beautiful Judaica for my own home," comments Julie Klein, 39 of Houston, Texas. "This season I'm planning on ordering the "Sweet New Year Basket" for each of my siblings, and a challah board and challah cover for my own home."

The business has also been busy lately expanding its corporate gifts. Brian Carpenter, 44, manages a large advertising firm in Boston, Massachusetts.

"I was very excited to have found the Challah Connection. I am not Jewish but several of our biggest clients are; I knew that specifically Jewish gift baskets would be a great gift for them. While I knew that the holiday was important to these clients, I did not understand its depth," he says. "I called the Challah Connection and was provided with tremendous support and information. They took time to explain to me the importance of the holiday and helped me choose lovely, appropriate and reasonably priced Rosh Hashana gifts for each of my clients. Their knowledge of the holiday and its traditions is very apparent, and I will certainly return for the rest of my corporate gift-giving needs -- Jewish or not."
