Third year of Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach is honored for their marketing efforts by Boys & Girls Clubs of America with Marketing & Communications (MAC) Awards in categories of Advertising, Publicity/Media Relations, Publications, and Comprehensive Marketing Strategy.

Laguna Beach, CA (PRWEB) August 11, 2007 -- The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach have once again been nationally recognized by Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) for its outstanding marketing and communications efforts. Of the 4000 Boys & Girls Clubs across the country, the Laguna Club earned awards in the Advertising, Publicity/Media Relations, Publications, and Comprehensive Marketing Strategy categories. The awards were recently presented at BGCA's 101st annual national conference in Orlando, Fla. This is the third year in a row that the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach has been in the elite group of Clubs honored by the national organization.

Led by their Marketing Chair, Carrie Reynolds and generously supported by in-kind donations from Milt & Barbi Naylor and Impact Marketing Specialists, a comprehensive marketing plan for the Club was implemented. The success of the Club-wide focus on getting the word out to the community about the Boys & Girls Clubs of Laguna Beach was evidenced in the past year with record breaking increases in membership enrollment, enriching programs, and quality staff. The resulting budget required to sustain such growth was also a new record for the Club, and an important component in the marketing strategy was also to appeal to the community to support the children and families in the area with contributions to the Boys & Girls Club.

"Our Clubs -- no matter what their size -- are taking their advertising campaigns to the next level making people stand up and take notice," said Evan McElroy, Senior VP - Marketing & Communications, BGCA. "Efforts such as these are making Boys & Girls Clubs a household name."

Since 1952, the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach has served generations of families living in Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, and the surrounding communities. Known as "The Positive Place for Kids," key Boys & Girls Club programs emphasize character and leadership development, education, health and life skills, the arts, sports, fitness and recreation, and family outreach.
