New Company Provides Computer I.T. Support Exclusively for Home Users and Small Businesses

Computer Service Company, E-Geniuses, provides In-Home/On-Site/Remote support that focuses on preventive maintenance practices. Instead of the break-fix-break-fix pattern that customers experience with other computer service companies, E-Geniuses practices a break-fix-maintenance model that can save residential and small business computer users from overspending for technical support. Owner Joey Mariano describes how the company's emphasis on maintaining long-term, ongoing relationships with their clients has led to their success. E-Geniuses offers Monthly Maintenance Plans starting at $19 per month. They are offering a promotion for a free online diagnosis until October 31, 2007 if you mention PRWEB.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 11, 2007 -- Almost all large businesses have I.T. Departments to ensure that their computer systems are working properly, why don't you? Having an IT professional on the payroll to maintain less than five computers is not economically feasible. Having a personal technician for a home computer was not practical-until now. E-Geniuses, a Los Angeles based computer service company started in 2004, provides computer services specifically for those who do not need an entire IT department. What sets them apart from other repair services is their focus on preventive maintenance. In addition, they also repair and troubleshoot problematic computers, but their strongest emphasis is on the maintenance aspect of computing. Owner of E-Geniuses, Joey Mariano, relates it to other aspects of our lives that require maintenance in stating "some people wait till their cars completely break down until they take it to a mechanic. The smarter thing to do is to have the car serviced on a regular basis to prevent being stranded roadside. Doctors will tell you the same thing about your health and a dentist will say the same in regards to your teeth. Why not take the same advice when it comes to computers? You remember the old adage, 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure'."

It's just good business. We are in an age of relationship building, not one-time sales. If we can keep their computers running well, then both the client and Technician are satisfied.
E-Geniuses offers personal attention to home and small businesses through their exclusive Monthly Maintenance Plan. After reviewing a client's system and personal set up, an E-Geniuses Technician will determine if the computer is appropriate for a Monthly Maintenance Plan. A maintenance plan allows E-Geniuses Technicians to update the client's system, patch vulnerabilities and scan for viruses on a monthly basis. If an immediate threat surfaces, the Technicians will patch and protect the client's computer as soon as possible. All maintenance work is done remotely in order to avoid the hassles of an in-home appointment or taking your entire system into the store. E-Geniuses is offering a promotion for a free online diagnosis until October 31, 2007 if you mention PRWEB.

Mariano recalls a previous instance in which "we found that there was a vulnerability that was going to affect many computers, immediately notified our Monthly Maintenance Clients and patched up their systems. We had the patch four days before Microsoft released it to the general public. Four days is too long; a computer can get infected within a few hours." Mariano also notes that, "if one of our monthly Maintenance Clients gets infected by a virus, then we fix it at no additional cost. It is our (E-Geniuses) responsibility to ensure that our client's computers are always running optimally. Most clients that use their computers for business are too preoccupied to worry about computer problems. They just want their computers to work."

One incentive for E-Geniuses to keep their client's computers running well is referrals. Clients with reliable systems often refer friends and family who have computer problems to E-Geniuses because of their proactive practices. Another reason is that, as Mariano puts it, "It's just good business. We are in an age of relationship building, not one-time sales. If we can keep their computers running well, then both the client and Technician are satisfied."

"Our slogan is 'A Computer User's Best Friend'. We say that because a good friend would not want their friend's computer to break over and over again, not only because it is an unfortunate situation but also because they would have to continually perform major repairs. Like most good friends, we want to fix it once and have it work perfectly for as long as possible. The relationships that we develop with our clients allow us to stay up to date with the modifications on each of their computers. Some computer repair companies are seemingly set up in a way where they would not mind if a client's computer consistently broke due to the profit they make from it. E-Geniuses converts over 20% of one-time clients to Monthly Maintenance clients. We attribute this to the fact that we listen to the client, provide an excellent customer service experience and tailor our offerings to meet their needs."

"In order to work successfully and to complete the tasks demanded of them by their users, computers need constant maintenance. Due to the various purposes they serve and functions they perform, computers differ from common appliances that only need occasional repairs and are usually replaced. Computers are constantly changing with each keystroke, update and software installation. That is why we introduced this idea of I.T. support exclusively for home users and small businesses . It is vital that we stay up to date with the latest and greatest in technology, but we should not have to sacrifice stability in order to do so. Additionally, we keep track of vulnerabilities that hackers exploit to ensure a strong defense against attacks. We make sure that those changes and updates increase speed, stability and security."
