London, UK (PRWEB) August 14, 2007 -- The Purple Lounge Swedish poker tour finally arrived at its last two dates, much to the disappointment of Swedish poker fans. After eight towns, eight clubs, many miles, several losers and a few winners, the tour hit Helsingborg and Vastervik to find the last eight finalists.

Club Cardinal hosted the first poker evening in Helsingborg and we were really sorry to have to turn away the many players that arrived hoping to fill a spare seat. However, the crowd stayed to watch the poker and this made for a great atmosphere with plenty of tension in the air.

The tour has been a huge success and we're extremely happy that the players have had such a great time with us along the way! We've seen some excellent poker play and we're looking forward to the grand final in October. Purple Lounge is returning to Stockholm for the final and it promises to be a really exciting evening from what we've seen so far on the tour.
We saw some very solid poker here and a very interesting start with two all-ins within the first 5 minutes. They were typical races seeing AA v KK and AK v QQ. After a round of applause for the first one out everyone knuckled down for some serious play. After seeing some spectacular play and horrific bad beats, including runner runner for the straight beating 3 of a kind on a rainbow flop and runner runner trips on the rag card, beating Aces, we found our final table. The play on this final table was exceptional, a super tough game. Here is how it ended:

5th - Ola Vesterlund lucked out and went out on the bubble when his Q7 didn't hit against Timmie's A7

4th - Christian Steen
Christian - Ad 10s
Andreas - Qd 5s

Flop: 8d 3s 5c
Turn: Qc
River: 4d

3rd - Simon Hanssen
Simon - Ah 7c
Timmie - Ad Qh

Flop: 3h 9h Ac
Turn: Qc
River: 3c

2nd - Andreas Johnson
1st - Timmie Silverstrand
Andreas - Ad 10c
Timmie - Qh 8h

Flop: Qs Qd 4h
Turn: 2h
River: 4d

Following the overwhelming enthusiasm for poker at Helsingborg, although a smaller town, Vastervik was no less fun. A picturesque town next to a small harbour, Stadshotellet in Vastervik turned out to be an idyllic setting for the last tour date before the grand final.

There was an excellent vibe to this tournament, the players were out for a good time and there was a huge amount of banter to accompany the poker play. Every hand brought excellent camaraderie from the boys and hugely entertaining voice play, especially from those that knew each other or had bonded on the coach journey over. It made for one of the funniest final tables we have seen the whole tour, with the chip leader of the whole tournament coming fourth due to one too many beers.

5th - Robert Arnesson was extremely unlucky to go out on the bubble with AK. He was positive for a place at the final when he saw Anton's A8, but it all went wrong when, he rivered the 8.

4th - Jimmy Sundall - A huge chip leader throughout the whole tournament
Jimmy - Ad Kd
Anton - 7d 7c

Flop: 2d Jc 9c
Turn: 2h
River: 2c

3rd - Fredrik Nordgren
Fredrik - As 8c
Patrik - Kc 3s

Flop: 8h 4h 3d
Turn: 3c
River: Ah

2nd - Anton Karlsson
1st - Patrik Shmul
Anton - Jd Js
Patrik - Qs 3s

Flop: 10h 6h 6c
Turn: 5h
River: Qh
