The ER Card is an electronic personal health record (ePHR), care management service, emergency notification system and EMT care link, creating a public health and public safety program in one. The ER Card provides professional caregivers with access to critical health and contact information anytime, anywhere in the country.

West Warwick, RI (PRWEB) August 17, 2007 -- A local Angel healthcare investment group, Angel Health Strategies LLC of Providence, has joined with the founders of the ER Card, an electronic personnel health record (PHR) business, to help further develop its base operations in Rhode Island. A consulting firm dedicated to innovative advancement in life sciences and healthcare services, Angel Health Strategies, LLC (www.angelhealthstrategies.com), provides both intellectual and monetary capital to assist early stage companies.

The new company, ER Card, LLC (www.er-card.com), offers a membership service allowing any individual greater control of their medical information by creating a secure electronic personal health record (ePHR). The ER Card provides its members with immediate anytime, anywhere access to critical health and contact information required during ambulance and emergency room encounters, hospital admissions, or physicians' visits, even when hundreds of miles away from home. Additional benefits of the ER Card program include a care management service, emergency notification system and EMT care link, creating a public health and public safety program in one.

Our investment team is excited to help move the discussion about electronic medical records from the talking stage into the practical stage, helping to further implement this innovative medical reporting system into our healthcare system. We believe that empowered healthcare consumers want control of and immediate access to critical health information for themselves and their families.
"Great care begins with complete and accurate information that is easily accessible, and the ER Card enables an individual to create a comprehensive, electronic personal health record that will assist in a medical emergency and with routine physician visits," explains lead investor Bernie Lambrese. "Our investment team is excited to help move the discussion about electronic medical records from the talking stage into the practical stage, helping to further implement this innovative medical reporting system into our healthcare system.
