Kensington, MD (PRWEB) August 17, 2007 -- Equivio, the provider of near-duplicate detection software, announced today that it has been ranked as one of the Top 10 software vendors by law firms and corporations in the Socha-Gelbmann 2007 Electronic Discovery Survey.

Based on the survey results, Equivio is also one of the Top 5 software vendors based on processing capabilities, and among the Top 20 vendors overall, based on seven criteria used in the report. In addition, Equivio is used by nine of the Top 20 service providers.

"Equivio has reached the Top 10 echelon just two years after launch," said Amir Milo, CEO of Equivio, "This indicates the unprecedented speed at which the product has been adopted. Leading litigators have been quick to recognize the competitive edge that Equivio delivers."

Equivio's software groups near-duplicate files and structures email threads. By isolating unique data, Equivio allows litigators to spend less time on review and more time on analysis. Proven in hundreds of cases with over thirty service providers, Equivio's near-duplicate technology consistently saves between 20-30% of the review effort. In parallel, the technology lowers the risk of missing key data, and ensures the consistent treatment of similar documents.

The annual Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery Survey provides the most comprehensive view into the emerging e-discovery market. The survey comprises data from 115 organizations on the forefront of e-discovery, including leading law firms and Fortune 1000 inside counsel.
