MacMost Builds iPhone Game Collection

MacMost boasts largest free arcade of iPhone games with 16 titles.

Englewood, CO (PRWEB) August 25, 2007 -- MacMost has boosted its collection of iPhone games to 16, including several word, card and picture puzzle games. This is the largest collection of iPhone games by a single company.

MacMost released three games on June 29, the day the iPhone went on sale. Reaction to the games has been so positive that MacMost has continued to add more games at the rate of almost two per week.

Recent additions include a Jigsaw Puzzle game, where the player can assemble a picture from 25 or 49 puzzle pieces, a Word Search game, where the player must spot words in a jumble of letters, and Think Ahead, a number puzzle game. Some card games have also been added, such as Solitaire and Video Poker.

MacMost.com is a Apple enthusiast site with news, tutorials and a weekly video podcast. It is produced by CleverMedia, an Internet content company that has created more than 300 Web-based games since 1995.

Gary Rosenzweig, founder of CleverMedia and executive producer of MacMost, has been converting some of CleverMedia's games to work on the iPhone, and creating new ones specifically for the iPhone.

"Most of the game code is completely new, built for the iPhone. But we have been able to reuse some artwork from our other titles," said Rosenzweig. "The trick is to figure out which games will work best on the iPhone's touch screen."

While the iPhone does not allow third-party developers to install applications on the phone, MacMost has been able to make games that play using the Safari Web browser built into the phone.

Rosenzweig said of thousands of people per day are coming to MacMost.com to play the games. Almost all of the players are using an iPhone to play, even though the games can also be played in the Safari browser on Macintosh and Windows computers.

The games are free to play and can be found by going to MacMost.com and clicking on the "iPhone Games" link at the top of the page.
