Top25FanPoll.com Launched for College Football Fans -- Features Include Facebook Application and Widgets for Social Networks

A new polling website called Top 25 Fan Poll allows college football fans to rank teams and display their picks through widgets on Facebook and other social networks and blogs.

New York, NY (PRWEB) August 30, 2007 -- A new polling system for college football has been launched at Top25FanPoll.com. The Top 25 Fan Poll, a polling service of Aperio Networks, is a real-time opinion poll of college football fans who have revolted against the polling choices or methods of sportswriters, coaches and computers. This democratic and inclusive opinion poll of the people will compare against other college football polls such as the AP Poll, Coaches Poll, USA Today Poll and the BCS formula.

The overall rankings of the Top 25 Fan Poll reflect in real-time the aggregate rankings of site users, the fans of college football. Each user lists his or her personal ranking page which can be shared through the link to this page, or syndicated by a graphical widget and embedded on their respective social networking pages or blogs. A fan may change his or her rankings at anytime to reflect any changes of opinion or conditions. Such changes are immediately calculated into the overall rankings of the Top 25 Fan Poll. To calculate overall rankings determined by the fans, 25 points are given to a fan's number one team, 24 points to his/her second ranked team, and so on. Aggregate points are constantly computed as fans change their rankings.

As a polling service, the Top 25 Fan Poll also allows fans to write blog entries with their rankings commentary. Also, voters can place "widget" banners to display their picks on blogs and social networking profile pages. There's also an application for Facebook users to display their respective rankings on their profile pages within Facebook.
