The championship match of the inaugural UltimateBet Heads-Up Smackdown tournament is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 2. And it's only happening at UltimateBet.com.
A total of 64 players began competing in a fierce one-on-one battle on August 4. With only one player surviving each heads-up match, the field of players was cut in half every week. On Sunday, the two players left standing will battle it out for a first place prize of $11,200, a limited edition Heads-Up Smackdown championship ring and entry into the end-of-year Heads-up Bracket of Champions where the winner gets to play 11-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth for $30,000.
Players won't have to wait until Sunday to witness the heads-up intensity. The first bracket of the second one-on-one tournament begins on Saturday, September 1, one day prior to the championship battle of the first tournament. On September 30, the second championship match will be carried out online.
