Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) August 31, 2007 -- SplashVision.com announces they will target ship and yacht brokers along with boat traders around the globe. Now brokers and boat traders will have leading edge tools to broadcast their listings without any fees. The site is similar to other video portals but with a few twists.

Todd Weider, CEO of SplashVision, comments, "SplashVison is a media lifestyle site for people who live, work and recreate in and around the water. The site allows users to upload, view and share video clips. We are on the verge of changing the way ships, boats and large yachts are sold on the web. When you sell a boat or a ship the approach of your presentation needs to be leading edge. We have created tools for our users which will differentiate their listings without any fees. Yes, the service is free to our community. The first tool we provide is video. It's amazing what video can do to bring the product to life. You can feel the energy, it comes alive! The next best alternative to video is to provide photo capabilities which are interactive and pleasing. Not everybody has the ability to shoot, edit and create video. We now provide image management with advanced features. Listings with photos can now be viewed with our new 'Photo Player', which is similar to a slideshow presentation. To create a slide show on SplashVision; images can be uploaded onto the site individually or in batches. We are now offering two options for batch uploading. The "Standard Upload" allows the user to select as many as 100 images individually and then load them all at one time. The second is 'Smart Upload' and it allows users to also load as many as 100 images. The part which is impressive is we use file compression, which makes the process very fast and efficient. Removing the painstaking process of loading many images allows our users to focus on selling and not managing listings. After the files are processed they are displayed in our 'Photo Player' making the experience for the buyer much more pleasing and interactive."

In just a few short months the company has grown from a concept to a fully functional media platform with new features allowing brokers and boat traders or individuals to list vessels for sale. Users can come to the site to interact with like minds and watch the latest user generated online videos (UGOV). Now they also have the option to view and search videos, images and slide shows of vessels for sale and charter. Mr. Weider comments "The beauty is a visitor to the site may not have had any intent of looking for a new boat, but while browsing the huge database of videos and photos the listing has become part of the experience. The content will now become entertainment for buyers and not a static classified or sales listing."

The listings can also become viral with easy distribution across the internet. Embedding allows brokers and boat traders who want to advertise another broker's listing (photos, videos or slide shows) hosted on SplashVision anywhere on the web. For added control the user who listed the vessel can restrict embedding. By setting the listing to restricted it can only be shown on SplashVision. "This is the power of using SplashVision, we offer complete flexibility."

The site is a community media portal and 100% free to the users. Weider says, "We are not looking to charge our users for basic listing services and hosting of their content. Whatever they decide to put up is up to the user. As long as it falls within our terms of use there will be no restrictions. We believe in open standards and ease of use."

The Florida-based service displays a wide variety of video content, including movie clips, and amateur content such as videoblogging. Among many other videos you will also see short promotional films of mega yachts and smaller boats from leading manufactures for sale and charter. The new social media portal for people who live, work and recreate in and around the water; announced they have a pipeline of new features that are in development which will be set for release to coincide with the Monaco Yacht Show, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, International WorkBoat Show in New Orleans and the Palm Beach International Yacht Show. The media portal among many other features already allows videos to be uploaded by its users like Youtube and Myspace, which are converted to Flash for easy and quick viewing.

Todd Weider, Splash Vision CEO, said, "SplashVision is partnering with leading brokers in a unique and revolutionary way to provide them with technology that has not been available before now. Our tools will allow brokers and boat traders the ability to capture the consumer, control their assets, and generate non-commission revenue."
