Farmington Hills, MI (PRWEB) September 5, 2007 -- Dynamic Computer Corporation today announced their partnership with Stratum Global, makers of TagNet, a unique software-based RFID solution.

The Dynamic team has been working with Stratum Global to install TagNet in their own shipping and receiving facility, and was so pleased with the technology that they moved quickly to offer TagNet RFID services to their customers.

"Dynamic Computer Corporation is a recognized leader in delivering value to the market space and we are excited about working together for the customer's benefit," said Bill Hood, chief operating officer, Stratum Global. "Dynamic's existing offerings and position in the market compliments TagNet and provides end users with a full spectrum of RFID solutions with scaleable choices."

Dynamic CEO Farida Ali is equally enthusiastic about this partnership. "TagNet is a strong offering in the RFID marketplace because it is a fully integrated software solution," said Ali. "The big unknown in past RFID implementations has been the custom application design phase. TagNet removes that obstacle, and seamlessly integrates with existing management systems."

RFID stands for "Radio Frequency IDentification." Using a series of transmissions and antennae, this technology allows item tags to 'speak' to computer networks without human intervention. Ali says Dynamic dispels Hollywood-spawned misconceptions of RFID. "Although many myths exist about RFID technology, Dynamic aims to demystify it," says Ali. "RFID provides real value when used to track assets and improve efficiency. I can see endless possibilities for clients to get rapid ROI using this technology."

Use cases for RFID vary widely by industry. "If we can tag it, we can track it," Ali says. Tags are used to control inventory in warehouses, to track valuable assets within a building, and to track equipment checked out of a facility. They can be used to instantly locate critical objects, and to prevent theft. Some big buyers, such as the Department of Defense and WalMart require their suppliers to tag items prior to shipment, and then use that information to manage their ordering and distribution systems. Tags can also be used to create an 'e-Pedigree', a trail of documentation capable of proving the tagged item is not a counterfeit. E-Pedigrees are increasingly popular in the pharmaceutical industry.
