Exhibit features paintings by Timothy Pearson of New York, site-specific installation by Johana Skalsky (NY/Boston) and sculpture by Jesse M. Kahn (Boston).

Southbridge, Massachusetts (Bluehost/PRWeb) September 7, 2007 -- Three diverse contemporary artists exhibit their recent work at the newly opened sevengaits project space. The opening reception takes place on the night of Friday, September 14, 2007 from 7-11 p.m. The exhibition, stacks escape construction, makes use of both the lower and upper gallery areas and extends into the second level studio space.

Timothy Pearson, now residing in Manhattan received his BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia and a MFA in Painting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He was twice awarded Fellowships from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, Virginia. In 24 small, detailed paintings he investigates subjects ranging from sea waves, to skyscapes to supermarket pork products.

Johana Skalsky of Mamaroneck, New York, received her BA and MA from New York University and is a 2008 MFA candidate at the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley. She has had numerous group and solo exhibitions in a broad spectrum of media including painting, sculpture, photography and performance. In this show her installation recreates the environment of her digital video piece, Grid Escape Attempt 3, in which she depicts "... a humorous, feministic encounter with cliches of freedom and subjugation."

Jesse M Kahn received his BA from Earlham College, Richmond, Indiana, and is a 2008 MFA candidate at the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley.     He has won numerous awards and honors and has exhibited work in shows across the United States. In stacks escape construction, Jesse displays sculptures from his "Home Depot Construction Series".

Sevengaits project space is centrally located between Boston, MA, Hartford, CT, and Providence, RI, with easy highway access from Interstate 90 (Massachusetts Turnpike) and Interstate 84. The exhibit remains on display through Friday, October 19, 2007. Gallery hours: Sun 1-6 p.m., Mon/Tues closed, Wed-Thu 1-6 p.m., Fri 1-8 p.m., Sat 1-9 p.m.
