Ghosts Are Not Just for Halloween -- They're Here All Year Round

L'Aura Hladik, Founder & Director of the New Jersey Ghost Hunters Society and lecturer on the subject of ghosts and haunted places, maintains that ghosts and paranormal study are a year-round activity. While most of her presentations on the subject take place during the Halloween season, she is ghost hunting all year long and operating the largest paranormal investigative organization in New Jersey.

Parsippany, NJ (PRWEB) September 18, 2007 -- L'Aura Hladik, Founder & Director of the New Jersey Ghost Hunters Society and lecturer on the subject of ghosts and haunted places, maintains that ghosts and paranormal study are a year-round activity.

"Halloween certainly captures the mainstream imagination with spooky ghost stories and horror film releases and rentals of the classics, but for paranormal investigators and researchers, it is a full time avocation," L'Aura explains.

The New Jersey Ghost Hunters Society was founded by Hladik back in 1998 and today has 500 members both nationally and internationally. In addition to its three divisions' monthly meetings, the NJGHS reaches the masses with its weekly free downloadable podcast called "The Deadline".

As if being the great-granddaughter of one of the owners of the infamous wallets made from the skin of Antoine LeBlanc wasn't enough, L'Aura finished out the 8th grade living with two ghosts in a rental home in Chatham Township, NJ. It's only natural that she went on to ghost hunt officially starting in 1993 and today runs the largest paranormal investigating organization in the Garden State.

This Halloween season, as in the past, L'Aura will be presenting a PowerPoint show entitled "Paranormal Investigating: Capturing Ghosts' Pictures and Voices". This presentation is suitable for any age group and gives clear cut examples of how ghosts appear in picture form and how their voices, called EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) sound. L'Aura says, "Truthfully, Spielberg would never sell a ticket if he depicted the ghost in his movies as the way they typically show up: as an orb."

The presentations are free and open to the public as follows:

Sept. 30 = Burlington County Library, 5 Pioneer Blvd., Westhampton, NJ - 2:00 p.m.
Oct. 16 = Washington Women's Club, Church St., Washington, NJ - 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 18 = Sayreville Public Library, 1050 Washington Rd., Parlin, NJ - 7:00 p.m.
Oct. 22 = Matawan Aberdeen Library, 165 Main St., Matawan, NJ - 7:00 p.m.
Oct. 24 = Washington Twp Public Library, 37 E. Springtown Rd, Long Valley, NJ - 7:00 p.m.
Oct. 26 = Cranford Public Library, 224 Walnut Avenue, Cranford, NJ - 8:00 p.m.

If your group or library would like to have this presentation, please contact L'Aura at her Evoice number 908-325-0140 or via email, laurah @ njghs.net

The NJGHS is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people experiencing paranormal activity with free of charge investigations as well as training its members in the standards and protocols of paranormal investigating.
