Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) September 20, 2007 -- Akaza Research, the leading provider of the OpenClinica® clinical trials software, announces that it has been accepted into the National Institutes of Health Commercialization Assistance Program (NIH-CAP).
The NIH-CAP is a competitive NIH program designed to assist selected NIH SBIR Phase II grantees in brining their technology to market.
The NIH-CAP is funded by the National Institutes of Health and managed and executed by the Larta Institute, a global consultancy with clients such as IBM, Genzyme, and Allergan. According to Larta, "The program is designed to assist some of the most promising life science companies in bringing their technologies to market." Akaza will work with the Larta Institute to expand the presence of OpenClinica, the popular open source EDC system, in certain markets.
