Buy a Date a Drink 2.0 Style: BuyYourFriendADrink.com and HurryDate Partner to Update Age-old Ritual

With BuyYourFriendADrink.com's (BYFAD) new social gifting service integrated into HurryDate's online user profiles, HurryDaters can now buy a real drink online as a creative way to ask someone out. BYFAD is helping bridge online socialization, in this case dating, with real world activity, like getting to know someone better over a drink.

New York City, NY (PRWEB) September 20, 2007 -- BuyYourFriendADrink.com (BYFAD), the leading online social gift service for buying drinks in bars and restaurants, has partnered with HurryDate to integrate BYFAD's drink gifting technology and service within HurryDate's dynamic online dating environment, exclusive to the New York and Boston markets.

Now HurryDaters will be able to instantly click on the "send me a drink" button located on another HurryDater's profile page if they want to buy that person a real drink. Powered by BYFAD's easy-to-use service, HurryDaters will be able to include a personal message with the drink certificate that is sent instantly via email. The drink certificate can be redeemed in BYFAD's network of over 100 bars in New York and Boston.

Online dating is a tremendously popular social service, and HurryDate is a true innovator with its combination of online profiles and tools, and its offline events
"Our company has always been about successfully 'marrying' the online and offline dating worlds", said Adele Testani, co-founder of HurryDate. "BuyYourFriendADrink.com is a creative new way for our singles to take an online relationship out into the real world. And, the bar and restaurant environment is a natural one for dating."

HurryDate has long recognized the dating ritual of buying someone you are interested in a drink. Previously, its "send a drink" button on user profiles has been used thousands of times each month to send "virtual drinks". With the BYFAD service integration, HurryDaters can now send a real drink as an invitation to spark an offline relationship. "We have had a virtual drink option for years, but since we help take relationships into the real world, we wanted to add the capability to send a real drink!" noted Adele.

"Online dating is a tremendously popular social service, and HurryDate is a true innovator with its combination of online profiles and tools, and its offline events," said Steven Cohn, CEO and founder of BuyYourFriendADrink.com. "Our new social gifting
service further bridges the gap between virtual and real world socialization as sending dates, friends or colleagues drinks can instantly make a great impression on both the giver and receiver."

As part of launching this new program with HurryDate, BuyYourFriendADrink.com will also provide HurryDaters the opportunity to get a free drink in return for every one they buy through October 19th.
