London, UK (PRWEB) September 25, 2007 -- ADIT Nordeste (www.aditnordeste.org.br) is a non-profitmaking organisation working with the Brazilian Government's Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex) to encourage investment in each of its nine states - Alagoas (capital Maceio), Bahia (Salvador), Ceara (Fortaleza) Maranhao (Sao Luiz)Paraiba (Joao Pessoa), Pernambuco (Recife) Piaui (Teresina) Rio Grande do Norte (Natal) and Sergipe (Aracaju).
ADIT Nordeste will be exhibiting A Place In The Sun Live! (www.aplaceinthesunlive.com) at the NEC Birmingham on September 28-30 and OPP Live! (www.opplive.org.uk) December 4-5 2007.
ADIT's role is to put potential buyers together with reputable Brazilian companies. Over 60 companies comprise the ADIT Nordeste Association. These companies have projects of various sizes in the fields of tourism and real estate in general.
Members of ADIT are involved in a huge number of potential and ongoing development projects. Since they vary in size, the projects appeal to all sorts of budgets: from large investors interested in investing on resorts construction, to regular tourists willing to own a small holiday apartment by the sea.
The president of Adit, Felipe Cavalcante, says: "The Brazilian Government has taken great steps to lessen the bureaucracy in real estate financing, and secure legislation for real estate investors and buyers. Interest rates continue to drop (the Selic is now 11.25% from 19.75% in September 2004), and the Brazilian Government is relinquishing control over remittance of profits and the repatriation of capital to overseas for international investors. The result is an explosive increase in property deals. Current ongoing projects in Northeastern Brazil amount to between $R5 billion (£1.232 billion) and $R6 billion (£1.478 billion). ADIT puts buyers and sellers together so business can be done successfully and profitably."
Cavalcante continues: "In order to boost further the confidence of investors and real estate buyers, we are taking steps to ensure that our member companies guarantee the legal security of the enterprises, including environmental and ecological zoning. The real estate properties are going to receive 'stamps' ensuring their legal compliance," he said.
ADIT Nordeste's other main activities include promoting better understanding of the diversity of each of the nine states. Each state shares a portion of the Northeast's 7,400 km of coastline and covers an area of 1.5 million sq km - the size of the UK, France, Italy and Germany combined.(18% of the total area of Brazil).
The Association also provides useful facts and statistics about the region and provides impartial advice on all development opportunities. Its annual conference which brings buyers and sellers together - Nordeste Invest - is to be held in Recife, in the state of Pernambuco on May 14,15 and 16 May 2008
