The forum will contribute up to $10,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, based on the number of new threads started by community members. This allows members to directly get involved with the donation process without having to contribute their own funds, while becoming better educated about breast cancer issues themselves.

According to the Breast Cancer Information Center, "breast cancer is a common malignancy, with almost 200,000 new cases diagnosed in the United States each year."
