On heels of critically hailed Rhinestoned album, Christmas disc streets on Nov. 13.

Nashville, Tenn. (PRWEB) September 26, 2007 -- With influences as diverse as Willie Nelson and Nancy Wilson, Pam Tillis' first holiday release, Just in Time for Christmas, walks the a fine line between down home country and uptown torch. "I just wanted to make a Christmas album as comfortable and familiar as your favorite winter sweater," she says.

The album will be released on the Tillis' own Stellar Cat label, marketed and distributed by Thirty Tigers. Street date is November 13, 2007.

I just wanted to make a Christmas album as comfortable and familiar as your favorite winter sweater
Following ten years of performing holiday shows, Tillis found these songs had emerged as favorites for both her and her live audiences. "Silent Night," "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve," "Pretty Paper" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas" are a few of the classic ingredients in this Tillis holiday treat. In addition to the chestnuts, she added three new compositions that have the same familiar ring as the standards. Prone to eclecticism, Pam hung new ornaments of rockabilly, country, jazz, soul and pop on the tree for good measure.

And as Christmas is a family affair, she roped her father Mel Tillis in for a duet as well as nieces and nephews to do some background vocals by the fire.

Just in Time for Christmas, a long time coming, is served up by one of country music's most recognizable voices and delivered with Pam's warmest wishes for the holidays.

The Christmas album follows closely on the heels of Tillis' latest studio album, Rhinestoned (Stellar Cat Records), which met with high praise from the critics. The Boston Globe called it "the best album of her career." All Music Guide agreed: "She's making better music now than she's made in her life."

And the Associated Press made it unanimous: "Ten years after her last Top 10 hit, Tillis remains uncompromising yet unpretentious, and she's making the best music of her career. Considering what she's already done, that's saying something."
