Prix de la Photographie Paris Presents the Human Condition Photography Competition

In conjunction with its annual exhibition of winning photographs in Paris, Px3 features The Human Condition competition, created to document the wide spectrum of peoples' ways of life around the world. As the Human Condition encompasses the totality of the experience of humanity, entries may showcase daily endeavors of any caliber; from rich to poor, from third world nations to western society and from joyful to desolate.

(PRWEB) September 29, 2007 -- Px3, abbreviated for "Prix de la Photographie Paris," strives to promote the appreciation of photography, to discover emerging talent and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris as well as the world at large.

In conjunction with its annual exhibition of winning photographs in Paris, Px3 features The Human Condition competition, created to document the wide spectrum of peoples' ways of life around the world. As the Human Condition encompasses the totality of the experience of humanity, entries may showcase daily endeavors of any caliber; from rich to poor, from third world nations to western society and from joyful to desolate.

Px3's Human Condition is open to all, including professional, non-professional and student photographers. One can enter the competition on the organization's main website, px3.fr. The deadline to enter is November 1, 2007.

The top 25 winning photographs selected by the esteemed jury of magazine and newspaper photography editors will be professionally printed, framed and exhibited. Winners are also published in a catalogue to be distributed at the exhibition and to photography editors around the world.

Cash prizes also include $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winning entries.

Px3's Human Condition competition is juried by the following experts in photojournalism:

Julien Frydman -- Director, Magnum Photos Paris
Alice Gabriner -- World Picture Editor, Time Magazine, New York
Mike Bowers -- Photo Editor, Sydney Morning Herald, Sydney
Joshua Prager -- Senior Special Writer, Wall Street Journal, New York
