The QuarterMileCafe.Com officially goes online. Under the slogan Live Fast and Ride Free, the company introduces a line up of hot rod inspired motoring clothes with obvious underground racing overtones.

Memphis, TN (Bluehost) September 30, 2007 -- The QuarterMileCafe.Com officially goes online. The QuarterMile Cafe is not shy to say that its brand is not for everyone. The clothing collection depicts familiar motoring icons in what the website calls a "Raw and Bare Knuckled Style." Indeed, the moment you enter the website, they will let you know what they are all about.

We promote nothing but free spirited motoring and we love it.
The designs are a combination of automotive and motorcycle illustrations as well as tribal and skull inspired art. The clothes feature a distressed look more often associated with alternative music. This is in stark contrast to the rather colorful trend that has flooded the muscle and custom car scene. There are also nice details such as double sided printing in almost all products. The shop offers hot rod shirts, sweaters, hoods and other accessories.

According to owner and designer Jack Valdez, they purposely avoided designs that looked commercial or conventional. "We make clothes that are stylish but unmistakably show a hardcore motoring theme." his passion for this style of clothing is consistent and without compromise in every product in the shop. Ultimately, he would like to feature custom auto and motorcycle manufacturers using his brand and style.

Although QuarterMile Café shirts and clothing seem to go against the grain, it does make sense. "When you step out of a machine carrying serious firepower, wearing clothes that look like it came out of a wacky races cartoon just doesn't look right. We offer clothing that is as intense as the machines our customers drive," quipped Jack.

Jack says the store was named after a defunct hangout in his hometown. The QuarterMile Café as it was called, was a tiny diner along a strip of road where local underground racers gathered in the late '70s and early '80s. However, this was no ordinary diner, it was also the finish line marker of a quarter mile stretch where informal races were held ... thus the nickname QuarterMile Café.

When asked if he promoted illegal street racing, Jack smugly replies, "We promote nothing but free spirited motoring and we love it."

The clothing line will be available exclusively through www.quartermilecafe.com powered by Café Press, a website that lets designers create and sell printed items online. "We figured this is the only way our clients will get the best of both worlds -- shirts designed by an artist but professionally run by a bigger company with good customer service. Orders will never get bogged down by lazy bums like me!" Jack says with a laugh.
