Ted Moss, President of Crimcheck.com said they have completed training to utilize "Fingerprint Scanners" to access the BCI and FBI fingerprint records on behalf of their clients. "This technology will dramatically increase the accuracy, turnaround time and feasibility of this type of check for many of our clients who are required to conduct these types of searches."

"Legislation requiring more industries to conduct these checks has proliferated since 9/11," said Moss. In fact, recent legislation requires drivers who want to renew or transfer HAZMAT licenses to undergo a background check based on their fingerprints. Schools, home healthcare workers and private security personnel are just a few of the employment sectors, which require a fingerprint check.

The scanner manufactured by California based Cogent Systems has provided Crimcheck.com a powerful tool, to offer clients the ability to comply with State laws in regards to out of state applicants who intend on working with children or the elderly. Typically results will be returned as soon as the same day or within 24 hours.

"Our goal is to help provide a safe work environment for our customers, employees and their clients." said Moss. "Many people are unaware that the private security industry helps secure the majority of this nation's infrastructure; a job law enforcement alone can not."
