How Much Do You Really Know About Arabs and Their Culture?

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

Now available through book sellers, the "Arabian Business and Cultural Guide" is a book that describes Arab culture, customs, and business culture in a simple straight forward format.

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) September 13, 2007 -- TradersCity.com is announcing the availability of "The Arabian Business and Cultural Guide" through book sellers in addition to its prior availability in digital format.

"The idea of writing about my culture, started in 1995 while I was acting as the middleman in import export business deals between American businesses and companies in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and other Arab countries. At the time, businesses entering the Arab market, were always asking me the same questions about the business and cultural do's and don'ts. There really were not any resources available that would help answer questions about the Arab culture or doing business with the Arab market. Eventually, I gathered my notes and wrote the book to help answer the questions about Arab business and culture," said Mr. Al-Sabt, Author of the Arabian Business and Cultural Guide.

The book covers topics like the "Save Face" concept, social duties, privacy, family structure, behavior in public and private settings, greeting women, host and guest roles, business meetings, verbal and non-verbal communication, negotiations, and many other social and business interactions.

"Sometimes what is considered a common way to build rapport and familiarity in one culture can be considered distasteful in another," said Mr. Al-Sabt.

The author grew up in Kuwait and has lived in the US for over 18 years. He has worked in the field of international trade for many years and has published numerous articles in various journals.

The book is published by TradersCity.com and is now made available through many major book sellers. Various excerpts from the book can be found at http://www.traderscity.com/abcg/

TradersCity.com, a US based company, offers international traders a free import export trade leads board at http://www.traderscity.com/board/
