iTaggit Unveils New Features to Simplify eBay Collectible Listings

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

Easy upload tool enables posting of rich item information.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 19, 2007 -- iTaggit, the leading online collection website that aims to change the way people collect, organize, and enjoy their personal items and collections, today announced new tools to help iTaggit members quickly upload information about their items from their iTaggit account into eBay listings.

With the new features a user can post an item to an existing eBay account or create a new eBay account and post an item to it from within iTaggit. When posting an item:

  • iTaggit automatically uploads data from the iTaggit item record into eBay and provides a link to the iTaggit record
  • iTaggit allows users to share more than just descriptive words and photos; they can now share documents and multimedia files related to the item through the link to their iTaggit record
  • iTaggit provides detailed and specialized information on eBay listings, appealing to more buyers and helping command higher selling prices

In addition to the eBay upload tool, this release also incorporates enhanced features including public wishlist sharing and improved private messaging capabilities.

Our eBay posting solution was created in response to feedback from users looking for an easier way to provide complete information on items that they are selling through eBay in a simple, streamlined fashion.
“iTaggit continues to develop tools and services to allow our users to easily manage the things that they value,” said CEO David Altounian. “Our eBay posting solution was created in response to feedback from users looking for an easier way to provide complete information on items that they are selling through eBay in a simple, streamlined fashion.”

In today’s Web 2.0 world that thrives on collaboration, iTaggit’s newest eBay feature leverages eBay's marketplace of over 200 million users to further connect its members with others in the online collecting world. Facilitating the process of organizing, documenting and now selling items in one’s collection ensures that iTaggit’s members can more easily manage their most treasured possessions.

iTaggit User Dave Cutherell said, “I use iTaggit to load and view Home Inventories. As part of that process we take pictures of the item and load it onto the site. It is just a button push away to get it loaded into eBay and up for sale. The combination is hard to beat for getting things out of the closet and up for sale with a minimum of effort.”

iTaggit provides an online environment for cataloging, managing, and sharing collections of items, while preserving user and data privacy. The site features community resources, where users can connect and interact with friends, like-minded collectors, and knowledgeable experts.
