Mammoth Networks Expands Eastward

Mammoth Networks has expanded its wholesale data network into three additional telco LATAs, bringing the company's layer 2 network to a total of thirteen states. The company wholesales data connectivity to Service Providers.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) September 25, 2007 -- Mammoth Networks announces it has leased fiber to expand the company's wholesale data network Eastward. The company, which provides data and Internet connectivity to Service Providers, will be servicing South Dakota, Eastern Nebraska and Southern Minnesota by November. The new coverage areas bring Mammoth's footprint to thirteen states.

Mammoth's network allows its Service Provider Partners to sell services in the three new telephone regions, called LATAs. Mammoth Partners will have the ability to create Layer 2 Wide Area Networks (WANs) throughout its network, which now services nineteen telephone LATAs. Partners who have been paying for long-haul or cross-LATA services can transition those connections to Mammoth and have the traffic delivered to their network cores or directly to the Internet.

This benefits Mammoth Partners who sell to business customers with data needs in multiple states. A Partner with a business customer in Colorado may require service for that same customer in Nebraska. Mammoth's expansion allows the Partner to provide a complete solution to that business customer.

"This is a reverse of Manifest Destiny," says Brian Worthen, who oversees business development at Mammoth. "Pioneers headed West for opportunity - we started in the Rockies and are heading East."

Worthen defines their opportunity as unique, marrying legacy technology to newer data services. Mammoth's Partners can take advantage of the company's private network to deliver versatile solutions to businesses. Each Mammoth Partner can choose to transport End Users and business customers directly to a Partner's router - the Partner can monitor and troubleshoot the majority of their customer's data circuit.

Mammoth Networks is an aggregator of data services, now serving thirteen Western states. Mammoth's footprint reaches more than 830 towns and cities, and more than 12,000 subdivisions and business parks. Mammoth enables its Partners by erasing the invisible lines of the telecommunications structure, and leveling the playing field for Internet Service Providers. The privately-held company is based in Gillette, Wyoming.
