Recent reports by the American Chemical Society and other organizations have indicated that certain laser printers used in offices, as well as homes, release tiny particles from the toner material used in them. Since these reports were issued, ClearFlite Air Purifier (www.airpurifiers.com) has received many requests for clarification about air purification products that can help to keep office air cleaner and safer.

Elyria, OH (PRWEB) September 25, 2007 -- Recent reports by the American Chemical Society and other organizations have indicated that certain laser printers used in offices, as well as homes, release tiny particles from the toner material used in them. Since these reports were issued, ClearFlite Air Purifier has received many requests for clarification about air purification products that can help to keep office air cleaner and safer.

ClearFlite Air Purifier requested statements from the manufacturers of the products it sells clarifying whether or not their products were capable of capturing these ultra fine particles. Their statements are given below in alphabetical order by company name:

Blueair air purifiers are a perfect solution to trap airborne toner particles from laser printers. A Laser printer can emit millions of small pollutants. Blueair will trap millions of particles in minutes.
"At AllerAir, we have consistently maintained that airborne chemicals and particles pose a serious health threat both at home and in the workplace; in fact it's the basis our entire company philosophy. Our most popular air purifiers are designed with 18 to 28 pounds of activated carbon for chemical, gas and odor protection coupled with medical-grade HEPA filters for ultra-fine particles. We also offer special carbon blends to better adsorb common office pollutants like toner, ink, VOC's, and ozone. The recent study on desktop laser printers and poor air quality only confirms that the dangers of airborne chemicals and particles are real and potentially far-reaching. Until more research is done in this area, we believe it's the responsibility of all employers and employees to take adequate steps to protect the clean air that is vital to us all." This statement was provided by Sam Teitelbaum, President and Founder of AllerAir.

David Fuller, Sales Manager of Austin Air Systems provided this statement: "Current research finds that many household and office printers, faxes and copiers are emitting harmful ultafine particles and chemical emissions, including ozone. Breathing in these ultrafine particles and chemicals may pose a health hazard, experts caution. Austin Air's HealthMate air cleaner aids in the removal of these harmful emissions before office patrons breathe them in. In addition, the HealthMate reduces the chemicals and ozone pollutions present in the office air from other contributing machines (faxes, copiers, etc) and environment factors which is industry-unmatched use of 60 feet of top grade medical HEPA filtration and 15 pounds of activated carbon and zeolite."

Blueair President and Founder, Bengt Rittri, provided this statement regarding Blueair air purification products: "Blueair air purifiers are a perfect solution to trap airborne toner particles from laser printers. A Laser printer can emit millions of small pollutants. Blueair will trap millions of particles in minutes."
