Mooresville, NC (PRWEB) September 26, 2007 -- Safety Solutions & ISP's dedication to John Force Racing's safety played a major role in preventing serious injury of John Force after a horrific accident that was eerily similar to Eric Medlin's accident 6 months earlier.

As experts in the field of Occupant Safety, Safety Solutions and ISP were able to consult and engineer a system for John Force Racing in the weeks that followed Eric Medlen's accident. There was a need to review and diagnosis what changes could be implemented to reduce the risks associated to Drag racing. Safety Solutions developed the Hybrid X Head and Neck Restraint specifically for John Force Racing. The Hybrid X, a modification of the NASCAR approved Hybrid, was engineered to protect the head in side to side vibrations, as well as protecting the head and neck in frontal and angular impacts. To anchor the system, a new seat belt mounting scheme and seat belt system were developed that was later adapted by NHRA for all Fuel Funny Cars.

ISP developed a Head Impact System that uses impact foam proven to be superior in laboratory testing. ISP's Poured Seat Insert, completes the safety system by filling all of the voids in the seat with impact absorbing foam.

The Safety System implemented by Safety Solutions and ISP kept John Force awake and alert through out the event. John was reported conscious when the medical personnel arrived on the scene. John's injuries are not considered to be life threatening and he is expected to have a complete recovery.

Recent racing accidents by Robert Height and Ashley Force are also testaments to the effectiveness of the new systems added to all the cars in John Force Racing. Safety Solutions President Trevor Ashline stated "We are proud of our accomplishments and the opportunity to work with John Force Racing to make Drag Racing a safer sport. We wish John a speedy recovery and look forward to watching him race again soon."
