Honolulu, HI (PRWEB) August 7, 2008 -- Tassho Pearce, CEO and Founder of Flip the Bird Entertainment is set to release his forthcoming Album entitled "The Opening Act" on August 8th 2008. The date's significance hits close to home for the artist because it reflects 808, Hawai'i's area code and the MC/designer's biggest fan base. As a way of saying thanks, Tassho in collaboration with The Honolulu Advertiser, the largest newspaper in Hawaii, have joined together to give visitors and residents of Hawaii the album for free.

The Honolulu Advertiser, which is Hawai'i's largest print publication, is scheduled to run an in-depth story on Mr. Pearce in this Friday's paper written by Lacy Matsumoto. The launch date for the website is set for August 8th which is the same day as the album's public release. When asked about the move, Tassho expressed his sentiments by saying, "It's my way of giving back to the people of Honolulu for all the support they have been giving me and Flip the Bird Entertainment over the years."

The Opening Act is the continuation of the album's debut hit single "Return to the Basics." "Return to the Basics" featuring Evidence and DJ Babu, Dj Chonz (produced by Evidence of Dilated Peoples and Franky Fade of Radio Bums) was featured on MTV's Adventures in Hollyhood. Tassho's gift and passion for rhyming is on throughout the album with famed production by Brian "B-Money" Hughes (Jay Z, 50 cent), Grammy award winner Evidence of Dilated Peoples (Kanye West, Beastie Boys, Linkin Park, Talib Kweli, The Alchemis), Rhettmatic, Babu, Hawaii's own Syze One, Franky Fade of Radio Bums (WC, Boo Ya Tribe, RBX, Shorty of the Lench Mob), The Level, and notable collaborations with Qbert, Apathy, and Rakaa Iriscience. Radio Bums founder and Flip the Bird's VP of Marketing, Hakeem Khaaliq said, "Tassho flew to Canada, LA, New York, and Japan to record, mix and master this album. This is not a mix tape; its four years in the making, and he is giving it away for free to the Hi State!"

"Return to the Basics" single featuring Evidence, DJ Babu, Dj Chonz and Franky Fade was released May 27th 2008 and distributed by Avatar/Itunes and Beatsource.
