DJ Kayslay Co-Signs E-Shy with the release of the Why So Serious "THE WHITE KNIGHT" Mixtape
Why So Serious? THE WHITE KNIGHT

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 3, 2008 -- Why so Serious? E-SHY is why and his new mixtape with DJ Kayslay is more proof that E-SHY is a new voice in Hip-Hop worth paying attention to. As the author of hot topic and equally debatable raps such as "Blacks and Jews" and "Obama Diss", the Harlem born and raised MC takes his message to the streets with the DJ Kayslay mixtape, "Why So Serious? THE WHITE KNIGHT", that debuted on Labor Day to much anticipation.

With the industry co-sign of hip hop veteran, DJ Kayslay, the "Why So Serious? THE WHITE KNIGHT" mixtape is sure to extend the buzz created by the April 2008 issue of The Source Magazine in which E-Shy was featured in the highly coveted Unsigned Hype column.

As E-Shy explains, "Why So Serious is in a sense a tribute to the Joker in the Batman film, The Dark Knight, and Heath Ledger's Oscar worthy interpretation of the Chaos Theory. I relate to his art of disruption. Things need to lighten up a bit and the entertaining side of Hip-Hop needs a comeback. I have nothing but respect for DJ Kayslay and his history in the game and hope that this mixtape is enjoyed by all who get a chance to hear it in its entirety. It is a tribute to the best of Heath's performance and the Joker's most memorable lines. People should know it is meant to entertain and to ask themselves, 'why so serious'?"

The mixtape is sure to be regarded as a cinematic and musical saga that fearlessly melds together an entertaining compilation of classic hip-hop beats with new records including the recently leaked single "Paper Bag." The controversial track is one that E-Shy knows will be a catalyst for conversation and dispute among many groups. "Paper Bag is sure to spark some controversy with women's organizations for its reference to placing a paper bag over the heads of woman with attractive bodies and less then attractive facial features," says E-Shy. "There are times when I like to write about things that people think about on a daily basis but are too afraid to say. This record just so happens to be a manifestation of one of those times" says the rarely apologetic MC.

E-Shy will release his debut album, "Misfit", this fall.

E-Shy was born, raised and currently resides in Harlem, NY. E-Shy was given The Source magazine's most coveted Title, Unsigned Hype, earlier this year.
