On Bank Holiday Monday (25th August 2008), The Runnymede Hotel & Spa were extremely honoured to host Team GB's homecoming following their most successful Olympics in 100 years. Athletes and coaching staff were brought directly to the hotel from Heathrow Terminal 5 by luxury coaches where they were met by waiting friends and family.
Windsor Surrey (PRWEB) September 5, 2008 -- On Bank Holiday Monday (25th August), The Runnymede Hotel & Spa Windor were extremely honoured to host Team GB's homecoming following their most successful Olympics in 100 years. Athletes and coaching staff were brought directly to the hotel from Heathrow Terminal 5 by luxury coaches where they were met by waiting friends and family.

Attendees included Tom Daley, Paul Goodison (Silver), David Davies (Silver), Jamie Staff (gold), Jade Johnson, Kelly Sutherton, Frances Houghton (Silver), Germaine Mason (Silver), Matthew Wells (Bronze) and Stephen Rowbotham (Bronze).
Team GB were greeted with a rapturous welcome by their nearest and dearest as well as the waiting TV crews as they stepped off the coaches. As the rain held off, the athletes then mingled on the hotel lawns by the river Thames catching up with home news whilst enjoying a variety of light snacks and desserts plus a well earned Champagne and Pimms reception!
The hotel had just 48 hours to prepare for this special occasion; a challenge that was met with great enthusiasm by the hotel team, with support from Surrey Police, a local security company and colleagues from our sister property The Grove.
