Tilcon Software announces groundbreaking GUI development tools for Windows CE, enabling high fidelity, next generation graphical user experiences on a wide range of consumer electronics, medical, automotive, retail and industrial devices.

Ottawa, Canada (PRWEB) September 24, 2008 -- Tilcon Software, the global leader in embedded graphical user interface solutions, today announced the immediate availability of the Tilcon Interface Development Suite (IDS) for Windows CE 6.0, demonstrating its continued support for Microsoft's embedded market strategy.

Demand for increasingly rich user experiences competitive with successful deployments such as the Apple iPhone and Ford Sync are creating enormous challenges for embedded device designers. Embedded UI designers in all industries need to find new tools and technologies to bridge the productivity gap between low level Windows CE software engineering and immersive user experience development.

Tilcon Software closes the gap with a unique, turnkey solution delivering rich, immersive graphical user interfaces on embedded devices. Tilcon's powerful visual design tool allows graphic designers to quickly populate screens using a rich palette of intelligent user interface objects easily branded with custom layouts. Artists can directly import, export and merge Photoshop files and painlessly convert their Photoshop creations into fully functional interface widgets. Codeless simulation tools also allow designers to quickly create live action models of their GUI. Low level graphics code, object behavior and advanced drawing are pre-programmed, saving developers from hand-coding the interface, a significant time-to-market advantage.

Tilcon's GUI engine is ported, tested and optimized for popular embedded hardware platforms running Windows CE to provide display speed, a maximum range of functionality and best performance. Tilcon offers a free two-week evaluation for download from the Interface Development Suite for Windows CE evaluation page, and provides support for additional embedded operating systems such as Linux, Wind River's VxWorks, amongst many others.
