Beacham Wins Internet Excellence Award

Atlanta luxury real estate company's website receives high marks for design and layout.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 14, 2008 -- Beacham & Company, REALTORS® has been recognized as having one of the top real estate websites in the world by the Web Marketing Association, an organization dedicated to excellence in internet marketing.

The Beacham website, www.beacham.com, received a Real Estate Standard of Excellence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development. The site was selected from among more than 2,400 sites in 40 countries and 96 industry categories. Beacham was the only real estate brokerage website in Georgia to win an award.

This award is validation of Beacham's significant investment into the initial development of the website as well as the company's ongoing investment in improving the site on a consistent basis.

The WebAward judges included independent internet professionals representing a variety of relevant disciplines of Web site development. They judged entries on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.

The judges specifically applauded the site's design and layout and its use of CSS and XML coding, which allows users to interact with the site without complete page refreshes, making the site more dynamic and efficient. The result for the end user is that the site loads 50 percent faster than older technology websites.

The Beacham site was designed by Glick Interactive, an Atlanta-based web development and design firm. The lead architect on the site was Ankur Gupta and the creative director was John Fox.
