New dedicated travel social networking site DoYouTravel.com has launched this year giving affiliates free links and many ways to communicate with this targeted community who are researching and sharing travel and destination information.

London, UK (PRWEB) January 14, 2008 -- New dedicated travel social networking site DoYouTravel.com has launched this year giving affiliates free links and many ways to communicate with this targeted community who are researching and sharing travel and destination information.

"DoYouTravel has already surpassed 2,000 users," says Mark Garwell, one of the founders of DoYouTravel.com "If you are a travel affiliate you cannot afford not to be on this web site."

We have given our users full HTML control over their content
DoYouTravel.com, the first travel focused social networking website providing a completely free tool for businesses to use to promote their services straight to the consumer, encourages companies to promote themselves directly to consumers through classified ads, videos, blogs and profiles as well as links to individual websites.

"We have given our users full HTML control over their content," said Mark Garwell "affiliates can link to their websites or directly to merchants, including their affiliate code in the link, no problem."

DoYouTravel.com has been set up to be search engine friendly so companies can link to their websites and help search engine optimisation campaigns. DoYouTravel.com will provide a banner advertising programme that will show relevant advertising on particular pages but will not have any preferred distribution agreements through 3rd parties. So users of the site will be able to make recommendations via external links to their own commercial travel sites.

Travel professionals can set up their own pages allowing them to:

  • Boost SEO rankings by creating content on the site and linking back to own website
  • Interact with users and build a friendly impression of a product or brand
  • Can create an interactive travel map to pinpoint destinations which the company sells.
  • Protect their brand by monitoring what is being said about them.
  • Create blogs to keep customers up to date with developments through images, videos, and offers
  • Monitor trends in the market place.

Mark Garwell continued: "With DoYouTravel.com we have removed the myths of social network marketing and the barriers to entry for business. Businesses now have a free to use fully editable content management system and direct access to one of the fastest growing travel communities on the internet. Companies using DoYouTravel.com can be as social or introverted as they like and interact with others or just publish private travel content on a dedicated web space. The site will also have a classified section allowing entrepreneurs such as villa owners to write advertisements. In addition travel professionals and travellers can share experiences and find out more about travel though services such as Instant messenger, chat rooms, forums, videos and blogs."
