The Council on Litigation Management (CLM) announced today, Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano as the recipient of the Council's Professionalism Award. This award recognizes and commemorates an individual who has demonstrated the unique ability to lead others by example in the highest standard of their profession.
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 11, 2008 -- The Council on Litigation Management (CLM) announced today, Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano as the recipient of the Council's Professionalism Award. This award recognizes and commemorates an individual who has demonstrated the unique ability to lead others by example in the highest standard of their profession.
"Governor Napolitano is a true advocate for education, which is one of the Council's founding principles" said Adam Potter, Executive Director for the CLM. "Her top priority of "Educating our Future" includes funding for the public education system, offering voluntary full-day kindergarten to every family in Arizona, and defending education spending as "investing in what matters", citing the benefits of academic achievement and economic growth."
Governor Napolitano was appointed US Attorney for the District of Arizona in 1993 and served as Arizona's first female Attorney General from 1999 until she was elected Governor in 2002. In 2006, Governor Napolitano was re-elected by an overwhelming margin. She was also the first woman and first Arizonan chosen to chair the National Governors Association.

The Professionalism Award will be presented at the Council's annual conference, March 11- 13, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona.
