Release of Jenzabar EX Source Code Empowers Institutions of Higher Education
Boston, MA (Vocus) October 28, 2008 -- Jenzabar, Inc., a leading provider of software, services and strategies for higher education, has announced today its Collaborative Source initiative, which will empower institutions of higher education to optimize their software investment and support their efforts to develop best practices. Source code for the Jenzabar EX enterprise resource planning system will be released as a new product offering within the system. Client institutions that participate in the collaborative source initiative will have an opportunity to view and modify the application source code in Jenzabar EX, in order to align the administrative system even more closely with their institutional mission and goals.
As an option with the upcoming release of Jenzabar EX 3.0, application source code will be released to institutions that are interested in tailoring the system's features and functionality to meet their specific requirements. Administrators will have more extensive control over the database and a greatly enhanced ability to configure the system to create their ultimate enterprise resource planning system. The upgrade will help new and existing clients shape their administrative processes to better suit specific institutional policies and procedures and to drive significant results in enrollment, retention, and advancement (ERA™).
While Jenzabar EX has always provided thousands of configuration options for end users, colleges and universities are seeking a new level of flexibility in their enterprise systems as they continue to expand their academic programs and improve constituent services. The Collaborative Source initiative was originated to provide Jenzabar client institutions with the tools to develop their own administrative solutions, based on Jenzabar's commitment to collaborate on innovative technology practices in higher education.
