Minq Software Ships New Version of DbVisualizer, the Universal Database Tool

This new version includes visual support to create, edit and compile procedures, functions, packages, modules and create/edit triggers, new schema export feature used to export object DDLs and data for transfer to other database, improved variable management and capability to migrate tool settings.

Stockholm, Sweden (PRWEB) October 31, 2008 -- Minq Software today announced the general availability of DbVisualizer 6.5, a world leading, cost effective, cross platform database tool that increases user productivity by providing a single solution to speed development, testing and administration of relational databases. DbVisualizer offers a robust set of features to assist database developers and administrators perform tasks such as object browsing, visual object management, running SQL statements and SQL scripts, editing data. Additionally, this tool includes features such as a the powerful table references diagram, query builder, SQL formatter, result set charting and favorites feature.

DbVisualizer supports all major commercial databases including Oracle, DB2 for LUW, Mimer SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase ASE, Informix and open source alternatives such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and JavaDB/Derby. DbVisualizer is optimized for the Windows Vista/XP, Mac OS X and Linux/UNIX operating systems.

The new version adds functionality for visually creating and editing triggers, procedures, functions, packages and modules. Users may in addition compile and view any errors for application objects such as procedures, functions, packages and modules. The new Export Schema/Database feature is used to extract and export object definitions and data as DDL and SQL INSERT statemets which can be used to transfer data to another database. Other notable changes are the new feature to migrate user settings to other computers and the re-designed variable substitution functionality.
