Aesthetic Dental Care of New Jersey's Trade-a-Treat for Soldiers in Iraq Event is a Spooky Success

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

A cosmetic dentistry practice in New Jersey sends more than 100 pounds of candy to American soldiers in Iraq – all of it brought in by local trick-or-treaters. Children from around the region came to Aesthetic Dental Care to trade in their unopened candy for a little cash, and more importantly, a good cause.

Fairfield, NJ (Vocus) November 11, 2008 -- This Halloween was a bit like Christmas for some local children and the men and women courageously serving our country in Iraq. Dr. Jerry Strauss and his New Jersey cosmetic dentistry practice made Halloween 2008, a safe, profitable, and charitable holiday for everyone by asking people with leftover unopened treats to stop by Aesthetic Dental Care and sell them for a dollar per pound. In addition to the extra cash, Dr. Strauss and his team sent every bit of it to the soldiers in Iraq who are serving our country so courageously, and may have saved some young teeth in the process.

The Trade-a-Treat event at Aesthetic Dental Care shipped more than 100 pounds of candy to our brave soldiers. In fact, it was so successful that Dr. Strauss plans to do it again next year, and possibly for years to come. By sponsoring the Trade-a-Treat program, Dr. Jerry Strauss - a cosmetic, general, and implant dentist in New Jersey - gives children an incentive to keep their growing teeth a little safer and encourage them to give something back to some of the brave men and women who are fighting overseas. In return, Aesthetic Dental Care gives $1 for every pound of candy brought in, and anyone can participate, not just patients.

The Trade-a-Treat program is another example of the way Aesthetic Dental Care aims to stand out from other dentistry options. With a state-of-the-art facility in Fairfield, Dr. Strauss runs a practice devoted to the individual patient. Offering a range of procedures ranging from teeth whitening and dental implants to Invisalign® teeth aligners and laser dentistry, Dr. Strauss tailors each procedure to the patient’s specific needs. Keeping in mind that many people have extreme anxiety and fear when visiting the dentist, Dr. Strauss also offers sedation dentistry for his New Jersey patients. Sedation dentistry techniques put the patient in a state of deep relaxation while still remaining conscious. This typically results in the patient emerging from the procedure feeling as though it had never occurred.

For more information on Aesthetic Dental Care and the details on their procedures, they have a comprehensive website which can be found at aestheticdentalcarenj.com. This powerful web tool offers informational videos, detailed descriptions of the practice, staff, and procedures, and a before-and-after photo gallery of patients who have dramatically improved the appearance of their smiles.

Congratulations to all who participated in the Trade-a-Treat event, and we look forward to dedicating next year’s Halloween celebration to this worthy cause!

Aesthetic Dental Care can be reached at 389 Passaic Ave., Fairfield, NJ 07004, and by phone at (973) 287-3829.
