Strength in the U.S. Dollar and Euro against the Won: An Excellent Chance to Visit Korea

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

This is an excellent time for visiting Korea, as you can get you hands on much more Korean won and thus get much more out of your vacation than you could at this time last year.

(PRWEB) November 19, 2008 -- As the value of the U.S. dollar and Euro rises, more tourists are showing an interest in visiting Korea. About the same time last year, 1 U.S. dollar traded for 925 won, and 1 Euro traded for 1,337 won. However, exchange rates are skyrocketing and the U.S. dollar currently trades for 1272 won and the Euro for 1682 won. At the moment exchange rates are skyrocketing and over the last year the trading value of 1 US dollar has increased from 925won to 1272won, whilst 1 Euro has risen from 1337won to 1682won.

This is an excellent time for visiting Korea, as you can get you hands on much more Korean won and thus get much more out of your vacation than you could at this time last year. In October 2007, a meal of Dolsot-bibimbap and a tour of the ancient Gyeongbokgung Palace would have cost around 10.80 USD or 7.50 Euros. These days the same meal and tour will only set tourists back 7.80 USD or 5.90 Euros, a decrease in price of approximately 30-40%.

Due to the current strength of the U.S. dollar and Euro versus the Won, foreign tourists are able to enjoy themselves in Korea doing all the traveling and shopping they want, without having to worry too much about travel expenses.

If you have ever dreamt of visiting Korea, this is the time. Don't miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime!!! (Seoul, Nov.11.2008)
