William Bennett, noted conservative political commentator and cabinet member under President Reagan and the first President Bush, will serve as keynote speaker at Radio Ink's Forecast '09 event, set for December 2, 2008, in New York.

West Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) November 20, 2008 -- Noted conservative commentator William Bennett, who served as Secretary of Education under President Reagan and cabinet-level Director of the Office of National Drug Control policy under President George H.W. Bush, will keynote Radio Ink magazine's Forecast '09 event, to be held December 2, 2008, at New York's Harvard Club.

Bennett, host of the daily radio show Morning in America, has been a figure in American media, politics, and education for decades. His impressive resume also includes terms as a professor at Boston University, the University of Texas, and Harvard, and he is the best-selling author of 18 books, including, most recently, the two-volume America: The Last Best Hope.

"We're always looking to bring a national perspective to our Forecast conference," said Radio Ink Publisher B. Eric Rhoads. "We invited Bill Bennett because of his insider's perspective on Washington, since our conference falls a month after the election. Though a conservative, Bennett is known for his balanced commentary and credibility with both sides of the aisle. We're honored to have him at Forecast."

Bennett has put common cause and cooperation first to work with leaders such as Sen. Joe Lieberman to fight the decline of popular culture and to work to end religious persecution worldwide. He's also a candid and dynamic speaker who is sure to bring excitement and a distinct point of view to this edition of Radio Ink's signature Forecast event.

Along with his work in the media, Bennett is the Washington Fellow of the Claremont Institute, where he chairs Americans for Victory over Terrorism, an organization that works to strengthen public opinion during the ongoing war on terrorism.
