Napa, California, (PRWEB) November 20, 22008 -- Our time is precious, our memories even more so. So, in these busy and uncertain economic times, how do you make the best of both without having to sacrifice?

A new Napa Valley tour offers a combination of previously exclusive, or unavailable, opportunities packaged to create one of the best, and easiest, Napa Valley day trips.

Raymond, ZD Winery Tour
Four top Northern California companies have come together to provide a comprehensive Napa Valley experience that includes a trip on the Wine Train (http://www.winetrain.com) and private tour and tastings at Raymond Vineyards (http://www.raymondvineyards.com/) and ZD Wines (http://www.zdwines.com/).

Guests enjoy a wonderful gourmet lunch on the Napa Valley Wine Train as it slowly heads north, up the east-side of the world-famous Napa Valley. They disembark the Train upvalley and travel by executive shuttle first to Raymond Vineyards, located in the heart of the Napa Valley's wine growing region; and then to ZD Wines, whose commitment to sustainability and excellence have been a family tradition for decades.

"We love this new tour for many reasons," says CEO, and President, of the Napa Valley Wine Train Gregory McManus, "It helps our customers enjoy so much more of the Valley in just one day. It helps reduce traffic by providing transportation, and it is socially responsible for those who are enjoying wine. We are also helping to reduce the visitor's carbon footprint by creating a one-of-a-kind holiday out of what used to be a do-it-yourself, mix and match situation.

"Not to mention," he added, "it is a wonderful collaborative experience with some great businesses."

Those businesses include Beau Wine Tours (http://www.beauwinetours.com/) who has an impeccable reputation in the chauffeur and private tour industry; and two generations-old family wineries steeped in Napa Valley tradition and quality.

Off the beaten path, Raymond Vineyards has been a family operated winery for 35 years. Tour guests visit Raymond's wine making facilities and taste wine directly from the barrel. The Raymond Vineyards tour concludes with a tasting of select Raymond Reserve and Small Lot series red and white wines. The private tasting room showcases a few small, wine country inspired gifts for those that like to browse or shop.

Boarding the executive shuttle again, the tour travels along the Silverado Trail, on the east side of the Napa Valley, to ZD Wines. ZD is a wonderful organic, solar powered, family operated winery. If quality of life is as important to you as quality of product, and you haven't had a chance to acquaint yourself with ZD Wines you absolutely need to take this tour. Several decades before organic farming was an "in" concept, ZD Wines launched a program that pays as much respect to the environment as it does to its highly acclaimed wines.

Guests stop in the cellar and view what's fermenting or a look at the next step in the wine making process. At the end of the short overview of the facility, ZD opens an exclusive tasting room, for the guests of the Napa Valley Wine Train, that overlooks the valley and allows tour participants to finish their day with a spectacular tasting of current releases paired with artisan cheese and assorted nuts. This "room with a view" is not available for any other purpose than this tour and personal business of the winery.

The tour finishes with a relaxed half hour ride down the breathtaking Silverado Trail in late afternoon.

Cost for the tour is $180 per person. Transportation options from San Francisco are available upon request. http://www.winetrain.com (800) 427-4124
