National Flossing Council Helps Americans Declare "Flossing" and "No Flossing" Zones for National Flossing Day

Downloadable "Flossing OK" and "No Flossing" signs available from www.Flossing.org.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) November 21, 2008 -- Recognizing that there is a time and place for everything, including dental hygiene, the National Flossing Council (NFC) today launched a new set of signs that will take the guess work out of flossing by helping homes and restaurants across America declare "Flossing" and "No Flossing" zones.

The printable signs and table cards to guide people in the polite use of dental floss are offered free to mark National Flossing Day, November 28, 2008. They are available for download at www.flossing.org, the National Flossing Council's website.

"These signs are a way to make sure that the entire holiday season is filled with polite flossing both at home and in public," said NFC President, Armand Lione. "These aids for polite flossing can be hung in homes and offices or placed on tabletops in restaurants to make clear where flossing is ok and where it's not."

Since 2000, the National Flossing Council, an independent group promoting the use of dental floss, has sponsored the celebration of National Flossing Day on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The 2008 Proclamation for National Flossing Day encourages all citizens "to promote floss etiquette and the availability of floss in their homes, in restaurants, and in every place where the floss-needy may be found." In this spirit, the NFC is offering these downloadable signs to assure flossing is done politely, in it's proper place.

"By offering these signs and table cards, we hope everyone will be given a reminder to floss and a clear idea of where flossing is considered proper," Dr. Lione, said.
