Lansing, MI (PRWEB) November 26, 2008 -- In recognition of Michigan project managers and their outstanding contributions to the state's economic growth and role in enhancing services and products, Governor Granholm has issued a Proclamation declaring November 2008 as Project Management Month. The proclamation recognizes that no group has had a larger impact on Michigan's skyline than project managers. The governor also recognized project managers and the integral role they have played in the construction of such noteworthy landmarks as the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital and the Beaumont Hospital expansion, and emphasized that these dedicated professionals and their teams exemplify the importance of leadership, cooperation, creativity, innovation, and perseverance.
"We are thrilled at this honor and recognition by our governor," said Karen Lange, Project Management Institutive, Vice President of Communications. "The Michigan PMI chapters are doing outstanding work and are committed to reaching out to talented young people to insure the field continues to do great things in Michigan."
