Celebrity Singer Heather Schmid's pop/rock song 'Touching Down' 100% proceeds to charity Global Village.
Boston, MA (PRWEB) December 4, 2008 -- Celebrity Pop Singer Heather Schmid has released a new single 'Touching Down' to benefit the children of rural China affected by AIDS.
Heather wrote the song and another titled 'Tell Me Your Story' about her experience with the children of Hefei, China. On the overnight train returning from a visit with the children, Heather penned the lyrics after a moving day spent among the village. Half way around the world, Heather told the story, shared the photos and the lyrics about her new friends to producer Rich Balmer as they worked on her new album. WIthin a full day in the studio they recorded 'Touching Down' and 'Tell Me Your Story'. During the recording sessions Heather had a full page photo of the children in front of her to fully dedicate the music. All proceeds from the sale of 'Touching Down' on Itunes and CDBaby purchases go to Global Village and the Chi Heng Foundation.

The Global Village is a non-profit charity that provides education opportunities for rural children, basic needs for orphans, much needed medications, water storage facilities and in some cases a college education to many poor rural students.
