The six-string. The axe. Lucille. The guitar has many different names, yet its output transcends names, ages and gender, as music can bring people from all walks of life together. Recently, entrepreneur John Bottenhorn has launched a new website and blog appealing to everybody's inner-Joe Satriani.

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) December 24, 2008 -- In the last few years, rock music has steadily been regaining ground as one of the most popular genres out on the market. Everyday, teenagers all over American strap on guitars, start bands with their friends and make music much to the delight (or dismay) to their parents and neighbors alike. So popular is the concept that it has even captured the video game generation through games like "Rock Band" and "Guitar Hero." Yet, there's no real substitution for the real thing.

"I've always had an interest in music," recalled John Bottenhorn. "It seemed natural to me that when I was starting a website, I'd go into music."

It seemed natural to me that when I was starting a website, I'd go into music.
Bottenhorn is the proprietor of www.GuitarLoversStore.com, a three-month-old website that specializes in high quality guitars at a fraction of the cost. There's a wide variety of guitars on Bottenhorn's site ranging from Les Paul-styles to Stratocaster-styles; there's also a good selection of accessories such as amplifiers, microphones, cases and pedals.

"I wanted to have a shop where an amateur or a seasoned guitarist can find everything they need like strings, straps and even special guitars like resonators, banjos and ukuleles," said Bottenhorn. "Why go to five different stores when everything someone needs to shred is in one place?"

Another unique feature that Guitar Lovers has is a blog where Bottenhorn writes tips on what new guitar players need, as well as information about playing techniques and product reviews that other players may find helpful

"Blogs are this new thing, but it's a good way to exchange ideas with other guitarists and musicians and help beginners out," explained Bottenhorn. "I've heard of bands forming just by commenting on each other's blogs, so I really think this is a cool way for musicians to have an open dialogue with each other."

In the end, it's really about the music and as GuitarLoversStore.com starts to pick up steam, Bottenhorn looks forward to the future:

"I really love music in general so I was thinking about adding percussion to what I have now," he said, "but there's still nothing like hearing the sweet sounds of strumming."
