This means that any document or photo that has been placed in the scanner slightly askew (rotated) can now be straightened from within VueScan, and without the need to physically rotate the document or image and then rescanning.
"Many of our users are high volume users, and it is annoying to them when a document or a photo is slightly rotated. VueScan is used by many people for speed, and having to physically rotate their document or image can cost much time. Skew correction allows them make the changes from within VueScan, and therefore saves them frustration and time. We have made this change after many requests from our users," says Ed Hamrick, President of Hamrick Software. "Most recently, we have seen growth in the document scanning marketplace and we expect this trend to continue. We think that this feature will be very useful for our customers, as it is not widely available with other scanning software. VueScan is available for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
