Ryan Freeman donates a year of free SEO services to The Elisha Foundation.
The Elisha Foundation is such a worthy cause and I know they and the people they serve will benefit greatly from this.

Simi Valley, CA (PRWEB) February 20, 2008 -- A unique contest opportunity to get free search engine optimization training and a ticket to the Search Engine Strategies NYC Conference and Expo was awarded this week by search engine marketing leader Bruce Clay, Inc. The prize package, valued at over $4800, was given to Ryan Freeman for his plan to SEO the Web site of The Elisha Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to families caring for special needs children and adults.

"I am absolutely thrilled that we've been selected for this honor," Freeman said. "The Elisha Foundation is such a worthy cause and I know they and the people they serve will benefit greatly from this."

Contest entrants submitted 1,000 word plans for optimizing a non-profit organization's Web site. The non-profit had to be a community organization with an existing Web site that could benefit from an organic search engine optimization campaign. Entrants explained how the Web site could benefit from an organic SEO campaign and what edits would improve the site. Techniques learned at SESNY and the Bruce Clay SEO basic and advanced training courses will not only help the winner improve the non-profit organization's Web site, but will also be invaluable for conducting search engine marketing and optimization projects in the future.

"The charity contest is our chance to support charitable causes and help improve somebody's SEO knowledge all at once. We were impressed by all the entries we received," said Bruce Clay, President of Bruce Clay, Inc. "We are excited to provide this opportunity and look forward to seeing how Ryan's campaign positively impacts his SEO skills and The Elisha Foundation's visibility."

Along with the first place prize, awards were also given to runner-up Margaret Butler, who partnered with the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, and honorable mention recipients Victor Caballero and Gyutae Park, who partnered with the Skirball Cultural Center and San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium, respectively.

The winner will attend Search Engine Strategies NYC Conference and Expo (valued at $1895) taking place March 17-20, as well as the newly expanded SEOToolSet Training ($1795) and Advanced Certification Course ($1195) from April 7-11. The runner up will receive a free one-year subscription to the SEO ToolSet and a free pass to the SEO training courses. Those receiving honorable mention get a free one-year subscription to the SEO Tool Set.
