Biodegradable Plastic Now Offered

Modern Plastics Continues Green Efforts by Offering Biopolymer to its Customers.

Bridgeport, CT (PRWEB) February 21, 2008 -- The pressure of becoming "green" and staying "green" is increasing everyday, especially for companies in the Plastics industry. Modern Plastics, a plastic distributing company in Connecticut, has announced that it will begin offering Biopolymer from Gehr Plastics, Inc. This new biodegradable material is made of a blend of polyactic, lingine, fatty acid and wax and can be exposed to temperatures between -30 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Celsius.

The Plastics industry has been increasing its research of biodegradable materials over many years in order to produce a multi-purpose biodegradable material. The production of a biodegradable material such as Biopolymer is just one of the benefits resulting from the Plastics industry's research. In an effort to reduce the non-biodegradable material in our country, Modern Plastics is very excited about the biodegradable counterpart, and has began offering the products made with the biopolymer material.

"Plastics have changed tremendously in a positive way throughout the years in both usage and composition. This new material is just another push forward in our industry to remain as an advocate of our planet. Our Green Campaign now includes a biodegradable material that offers many of the same properties that our standard mechanical properties offer" said Bing J Carbone, President of Modern Plastics.

Founded in 1945, Modern Plastics, led by Company President Bing J. Carbone, is poised for meeting the challenging requirements of its customers by setting new industry standards with faster computer technology, ISO 9001:2000 certifications, material bar coding, lot and batch certification of all plastic materials, huge expansions of
inventory and product lines, Kaizen management programs, rigid quality control standards, and active participation in the International Association of Plastics Distributors.
