First Stop in National Outreach to Overlooked Markets

New York, NY (PR WEB) February, 19,2008 -- Bond & Bowery (www.bondandbowery.com) -- the online destination for antiques and fine art -- is launching a targeted expansion into key markets, beginning by offering unique merchandise from several prominent Washington, DC dealers, including:

  • Acanthus Antiques (Kensington, MD)
  • Marston Luce (Georgetown)
  • Millwood Home (Millwood, VA)
  • Savenkov Gallery (Richmond, VA)
  • Sixteen Fifty Nine (Georgetown)
  • Susquehanna Antique Company (Georgetown)

"The Capital region is one of the hottest markets for home furnishings, with a vibrant community of dealers representing a wide range of styles and periods, so it's very exciting for us to reach a critical mass with this outstanding portfolio of dealers," said Bond & Bowery co-founder Ben Spaisman. "Despite the vitality of DC's antiques and fine arts trade, local dealers have been underserved by our competition."

To reach similarly overlooked markets, Bond & Bowery is embarking on a city-by-city campaign cultivating antique and fine arts dealers as well as designers. Bond & Bowery employs the latest technology to connect buyers and sellers in an unprecedented global marketplace.

"Bond & Bowery has made it very easy for dealers to get involved with this new way of conducting business," said Peter Nee of Millwood Home. "Since we signed on in the fall, we've received many solid inquiries and sales, while enjoying a high level of customer service."

"As a dealer, it's very attractive to increase our exposure beyond the area with a virtual storefront," added Marston Luce of Marston Luce Antiques. "We're looking forward to teaming with Bond & Bowery and reaching new customers throughout the United States and abroad."

Launched in August 2007, the site is the brainchild of antiques dealers George Evans and Elliot Spaisman and seasoned marketer and business executive Ben Spaisman, with backing from a group of industry professionals. While New York-based, both the Spaismans have residences in Washington, DC. Evans is based in Lambertville, NJ and New York City.
