AAAA President ReNee Dunman Visits Omaha and Lincoln, NE February 25 - 28, 2008

(PRWEB) February 25, 2008 -- The American Association for Affirmative Action (AAAA), a national membership organization of equal employment opportunity (EEO), affirmative action and diversity professionals, opposes the anti-affirmative action initiatives proposed by Ward Connerly and the American Civil Rights Institute, inter alia. AAAA President ReNee Dunman is visiting Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska on February 25 -- 28, 2008 to discuss AAAA's views on these so-called civil rights measures. Ms. Dunman will meet with community, higher education and civil rights organizations and will be available to speak with the press. "We are troubled by Mr. Connerly's scorched-earth campaign to end equal opportunity in America," said Ms. Dunman. "At a time when we are celebrating the most diverse group of candidates for the nation's highest office, we are fighting to keep the doors of opportunity open."

AAAA plans to testify at the Public Hearing on LR233CA, before the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature's Judiciary Committee, Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Lincoln, NE. To schedule an interview, please contact Shirley J. Wilcher, AAAA Executive Director, at 240-893-9475 or by email at s.j.wilcher @ att.net.
